Free inspections & quotes
You cannot see the gutters from the ground and you should not be up a ladder to look. So the looking is free.
Free roof and gutter inspections
It is hard to know what is happening at gutter height from the ground. An inspection looks at the gutters, the downpipes, the fascia behind them and the roof edge above them, and tells you plainly which of it needs doing and which of it does not.
There is no charge for the inspection or the quote.
Free to look.
Then a quote.
The roof and gutters are inspected without charge, you are told what was found, and a quote follows. You decide from there.
What a gutter inspection covers
- Joints and seals — the unions, stop ends and corners where PVC guttering leaks first
- Fall — whether the gutter runs gently towards the outlet or holds standing water
- Brackets and fascia — loose, missing or rusted brackets, and rot in the board they screw into
- Outlets and downpipes — blocked, split, or discharging somewhere they should not
- Where the water goes — the gully or drain at the bottom, which is blocked more often than people expect
- The roof edge above — moss, slipped tiles and broken eaves tiles that feed the gutter with debris
What gets looked at.
Joints, fall, brackets, outlets, downpipes and the fascia behind it all. The roof edge above, too, because that is where most of what blocks a gutter comes from.
Questions about inspections
Do I have to go ahead with the work?
No. The inspection and the quote are free, and what you do with the quote is up to you.
Do I need to be there?
It helps, because most of an inspection is looking from outside and the useful part is talking you through what was found. If you cannot be, the findings and the quote can be explained by phone afterwards.
What if nothing needs doing?
Then that is what you are told. A gutter that is clear and a roof that is sound do not need work, and saying so costs nothing.
